Fiberglass XPS Foam Panels

FRP (fibreglass) is the skin, which covers the XPS foam surface. The sandwich core is XPS (extruded polystyrene) foam. It is a polymer composite plastic sandwich panel. It can enhance structural strength. There are high-strength materials. They have good heat insulation, a long life, and other advantages. They are used extensively in refrigerated, insulated, and frozen trucks, trailers, and RVs. CKD case delivery or panel production is available.
OEM/ODM Customized Service: We offer a custom length, thickness, width, RAL color, skin, core, density, and surface treatment.Three Three Advantages:

  • XPS foam has a thermal conductivity of 0.03 W/(m·K). It is 25% more efficient at insulating than traditional materials.
  • Compressive strength of 200-700 kPa; more stable at high speeds.
  • The water absorption rate is under 0.1%. It is better for refrigerated transport in humid areas.

Product Description:

Structure of Fiberglass XPS foam composite panel: FRP skin + XPS foam + FRP skin.
This composite panel is a high-performance, lightweight, fiberglass panel. It’s also called a reinforced fiberglass panel. It is not easy to break, and not easy to deform and crack when encountering impacts. It can replace colour-coated aluminium or steel plates. It has great physical properties. It is waterproof and dust-proof. In a vacuum, use high-strength foam adhesives to bond it. In XPS foam applications, it can stop heat conduction and protect the core. Corrosion resistance and high strength.

Fiberglass is used predominantly in lightweight, heavy-duty refrigerated truck bodies. It is also widely used in refrigerated trailers. Manufacturers can make composite panels in lengths of 0 to 12 meters and thicknesses of 10 mm to 140 mm. They can be any RAL color. Usually, mobile small trailers can be 2.5 meters long. We can also meet the 12-meter limit for heavy semi-trailer trucks. Our one-piece composite panel truck body has no rivets. It has a neater appearance. We provide free body design and CKD case delivery. It is easy to install and saves time.
If applied to other applications, such as dry trucks, and RV, you can use CFRT, aluminium, plywood and other skin, foam can use plywood, PU, PET and so on.

Characteristics:

Fiberglass XPS panels are the perfect choice for refrigerated trucks. We add anti-aging agents and protective film to increase the service life. We can improve stability. We can do this by embedding reinforced structural materials. Also, we can embed structural materials like aluminum and fiberglass tubes inside. We list below the many advantages and characteristics of our products.

  • Toughness refers to high compressive strength and resistance to deformation from impact.
  • Low thermal conductivity: XPS has low thermal conductivity, 0.03 W/(m·K).
  • Low water absorption: 0.1% water absorption, better than EPS and XPS.
  • Long service life: the truck body lasts 10 years. The process maintains its performance.
  • Wide temp range: -20℃ to 50℃. For all refrigerated, freezer, and insulated trucks.
  • Low cost: we are the source manufacturer of FRP XPS panels, and we have low cost.
  • High precision: we use the world’s best CNC machines and production equipment.
  • Customizable: Highly customizable.

Why is XPS foam better than EPS and PU for refrigerated sandwich core?

XPS, or “Extruded Polystyrene,” is a polymer. It has a closed cell structure. This prevents moisture and dust from penetrating the foam. It protects the foam’s thermal insulation and extends its life.

EPS is made by the foam master in the mould. It’s a closed-cell structure, like EPS. But, there may be air pockets between the beads. This hurts its thermal insulation.

XPS foam is better compared to common thermal insulation PU (polyurethane) foam, although PU is better at thermal insulation performance. However, XPS is much higher than PU in terms of water absorption performance. So XPS is more suitable for cold food truck transportation.
